I am Wilson Rahn, an 18 year old senior student at Lewis & Clark High School in Spokane, Washington. I longboard, hang with friends, study for school, wash dishes at a neighborhood restaurant (my backup career), and, most importantly, I love to make music. I play several instruments including guitar, bass, drums, trumpet and dabble with keyboards. I am self taught on each instrument and play all instruments and sing all vocals in my recordings. I have fronted for three bands playing lead guitar and vocals. Although I enjoy performing music, my greatest interest is composing music. The past two summers I have studied songwriting and film scoring at New York University. When making music, I focus on FOUR things:
INNOVATION: Embrace experimentation, tap creativity, find something that sounds brand new.
COMMUNICATION: Exploit this crazy secret language called music to emotionally connect. Make people feel...something.
PERSPIRATION: There are no short cuts, you gotta do the work.
DESTINATION: Believe there are no limits to where you can go. Just make sure you enjoy the ride.
I currently compose using Logic Pro X and Vienna Symphonic Library.
